बोद्धारो मत्सरग्रस्ताः प्रभवः स्मयदूषिताः ।अबोधोपहताः चान्ये जीर्णमङ्गे सुभाषितम् ॥१॥boddhāro matsaragrastāḥ prabhavaḥ smayadūṣitāḥ |abodhopahatāḥ cānye jīrṇamaṅge subhāṣitam ||1||
Translation
(ALAS! NO ONE WILL APPRECIATE MY GOOD WORDS!)
The intellectuals are caught by envy. The wealthy lords are unreceptive with their arrogant smiles. Others are stuck in ignorance. The good sayings are wasting away within (my mind)! ॥ 1 ॥
