दानं भोगो नाशस्तिस्रो गतयो भवन्ति वित्तस्य ।यो न ददाति न भुङ्क्ते तस्य तृतीया गतिर्भवति ॥३४॥dānaṃ bhogo nāśastisro gatayo bhavanti vittasya |yo na dadāti na bhuṅkte tasya tṛtīyā gatirbhavati ||34||
Translation
(CHARITY IS THE EXCELLENT WAY TO USE UP THE MONEY)
Charity, enjoyment, and destruction are the three possible ways money can end up in. If a man does not give it to others, nor enjoys himself, his wealth ends up in only the third possibility. ॥ 34 ॥
