सन्तप्तायसि संस्थितस्य पयसो नामापि न ज्ञायतेमुक्ताकारतया तदेव नलिनीपत्रस्थितं राजते ।स्वात्यां सागरशुक्तिमध्यपतितं तन्मौक्तिकं जायतेप्रायेणाधममध्यमोत्तमगुणः संसर्गतो जायते ॥५८॥santaptāyasi saṃsthitasya payaso nāmāpi na jñāyatemuktākāratayā tadeva nalinīpatrasthitaṃ rājate |svātyāṃ sāgaraśuktimadhyapatitaṃ tanmauktikaṃ jāyateprāyeṇādhamamadhyamottamaguṇaḥ saṃsargato jāyate ||58||
Translation
(THREE TYPES OF COMPANY)
The water drop which falls on the hot iron is never ever mentioned again! It looks like a pearl when staying on the lotus leaf! When it falls into the ocean inside a (pearl-oyster) shell, it turns into a pearl! Mostly, these are the results of keeping the company of lowest, middle type and excellent men! ॥ 58 ॥
