अयममृतनिधानं नायकोऽप्योषधीनांशतभिषगनुयातः शंभुमूर्ध्नोऽवतंसः ।विरहयति न चैनं राजयक्ष्मा शशाङ्कंहतविधिपरिपाकः केन वा लङ्घनीयः ॥८८॥ayamamṛtanidhānaṃ nāyako'pyoṣadhīnāṃśatabhiṣaganuyātaḥ śaṃbhumūrdhno'vataṃsaḥ |virahayati na cainaṃ rājayakṣmā śaśāṅkaṃhatavidhiparipākaḥ kena vā laṅghanīyaḥ ||88||
Translation
(ATTACK OF SICKNESS, THOUGH FILLED WITH MEDICINES)
He (Moon) is the store-house of (cool) nectar. He is the lord of all medicinal plants. He is followed by hundreds of medicine men (stars). He adorns the head of Shankara (creator of the quiescent state). Still the moon with the taint of the rabbit, is not freed of the ‘consumption’ disease. (He waxes and wanes.) Who can escape the work of this evil destiny! ॥ 88 ॥
