Translation
Pluck the tender Kusha grass by cutting at the roots with the edge of the stone and offer a handful to the forest deer with the hue of bamboo shoots; (in between the austerities of penance) or, with the red hued edge of the nails, cut the betel leaf white like the cheeks of ‘ladies belonging to Shaka country’ and offer it to the attractive girls. In half a verse I will tell you the truth which all the scriptures teach. Helping others is meritorious; tormenting others is sinful.} ॥ 34 ॥
