आरम्भगुर्वी क्षयिणी क्रमेणलघ्वी पुरा वृद्धिमती च पश्चात् ।दिनस्य पूर्वार्धपरार्धभिन्नाछायेव मैत्री खलसज्जनानाम् ॥४९॥ārambhagurvī kṣayiṇī krameṇalaghvī purā vṛddhimatī ca paścāt |dinasya pūrvārdhaparārdhabhinnāchāyeva maitrī khalasajjanānām ||49||
Translation
(FRIENDSHIP)
Very strong in the beginning and decreasing in course of time; very light in the beginning and becoming very strong later; the friendship of the bad and good people differ like the shadow of the first half and second half of the day. ॥ 49 ॥
