नो सत्येन मृगाइक एष वदनीभूतो न चेन्दीवरद्वन्द्वं लोचनतां गतंन कनकैरप्यड्गयष्टिः कृताकिं त्वेवं कविभिः प्रतारितमनास्तत्त्वं विजानन्नपि त्वड्ग्मांसास्थिमयं वपुःमन्दो जनः सेवते ॥४६॥no satyena mṛgāika eṣa vadanībhūto na cendīvaradvandvaṃ locanatāṃ gataṃna kanakairapyaḍgayaṣṭiḥ kṛtākiṃ tvevaṃ kavibhiḥ pratāritamanāstattvaṃ vijānannapi tvaḍgmāṃsāsthimayaṃ vapuḥmando janaḥ sevate ||46||
Translation
Truly moon has not become the face. The pair of lotuses have not become the eyes. The body-stick is not made of gold. But fooled by the words of the poets which describe them in such a way, the idiots seek the body made of skin, flesh and bones though knowing the truth very well. ॥ 46 ॥
