किं कन्दाः कन्दरेभ्यः प्रलयमुपगता निर्झरा वा गिरिक्ष्यःप्रध्वस्ता वा तरुभ्यः सरसफलभृतो वल्कलिन्यश्च शाखाः ।वीक्ष्यन्ते यन्मुखानि प्रसभमपगतत्रश्रयाणां खलानांदुःखाप्तस्वल्पवित्तस्मयपवनवशान्नर्तितभ्रूलतानि ॥२५॥

kiṃ kandāḥ kandarebhyaḥ pralayamupagatā nirjharā vā girikṣyaḥpradhvastā vā tarubhyaḥ sarasaphalabhṛto valkalinyaśca śākhāḥ |vīkṣyante yanmukhāni prasabhamapagatatraśrayāṇāṃ khalānāṃduḥkhāptasvalpavittasmayapavanavaśānnartitabhrūlatāni ||25||

Translation

Have the edible roots and bulbs flown away in floods? Have the streams flowing in the hills vanished? Have the bark-clad ascetic ladies namely the trees holding tasty fruits in their branches, perished? that men look up at the faces of those wicked men who are extremely impolite and whose ‘eye-brow creepers’ dance pushed by the ‘wind of arrogance’ rising from the very little wealth acquired through hard-ships? ॥ 25 ॥
